Reboot: Charging Up Your Batteries

Reboot: Charging Up Your Batteries

GETTING BACK TO CENTER

This past weekend, I took a trip home, and it was more cathartic than I even imagined it could be.

San Diego was everything I forgot I even needed right now, and it made me feel centered again. I walked the beach with my headphones on, caught up with a friend who’s in this same season of life, ate mangoes and avocados, soaked up the sun, and played card games with my family.

WHAT IF WE RECHARGED OURSELVES AS OFTEN AS WE DO OUR PHONES?

Now, I live to travel but this time, it was about me feeling like myself again. (I think I’ve been so caught up in being a new mom I forgot how to just be me.) With all the learning, celebrations, and preparation it’s no wonder I felt a little off-center.

CENTERING LOOKS DIFFERENT FOR EVERYBODY BUT THIS IS WHAT WORKED FOR ME.

When I returned home yesterday I had a clearer mind and a renewed attitude towards where and who I am today.

Being around so much familiarity reminded me of what my days used to look like, what hobbies I used to be into, and all the tiny things in my day that I once enjoyed.

I’ve bought my self a journal and will be using it as a planner, creative outlet, and task manager. I decided to take up water-coloring, too. Something has switched in my brain (and I’m still not sure when) that has made me less patient and I plan to get away from that. I’ve quit my 9 to 5 and decided to care for our home and children full time. Times are changing around here!

Today is also Love Becomes Her birthday and that always feels like a fresh new start. I’m looking forward to some fresh new changes on the blog and personal charging up too.

THIS POST IS YOUR REMINDER TO PUT YOURSELF FIRST ONCE IN A WHILE. TAKE CARE OF YOU. DON’T GET LOST IN YOUR OWN SHUFFLE.

Find what charges your batteries and just reboot yourself.

I created a few images for you guys to share in your stories (you can also Pin them for later) and begin centering yourself the best ways you know how. How do you stay grounded?
