4 [Almost] Free Last Minute Valentine's Day Gifts

It probably feels like crunch time if you still have not locked down a gift for your sweetie yet. These are some ideas and inspiration that are easy on the budget, and can actually be pulled off in time for V-Day.

FIRST, A GIFT FOR YOU

I’m a big believer in taking care of the self first. This is your little reminder to give yourself a little love in this season full of candies and sentiments. My favorite way is to write down love notes to you! If you’re anything like me you have several notebooks that you never “finished”. If not, good for you! But you’ll need to go purchase (or make) a small notebook for this. Grab said notebook, and take a page for each love note. Write one thing that is positive or you are grateful for in you own life. Sometimes I add the date if it’s relevant. And sometimes I decorate, just because.

Bonus: I am actually gifting this idea to my best friend. It’s a notebook of affirmations for her, and I started it off. The first few ideas are things I love and appreciate about her and she can use it to list her own, or continue to get input from others.

FOR YOUR BOO

Cooking or baking is essentially free. This will take some planning and preparation, and of course ingredients, but you won’t spend nearly as much if you took them out to eat. Bake their favorite sugar treat or try cooking your Valentine’s Day meal together. Try this book or a YouTube video to follow a new recipe as a couple. 

FOR YOUR GAL-ENTINE

Your girls will appreciate the quality time you give them on Galentine’s Day. Go out to brunch together and have mimosas or create your own brunch at home and invite them to hang out! I also love giving sweet baskets full of goodies for Galentine’s Day. You can usually find cute little baskets or boxes at Marshall’s or a craft store, along with some tissue paper to fluff it up a bit. Add in mixes of different types of chocolates (or fresh baked cookies if you’re looking to spend less), a few flowers, and a heartfelt note – done.
